It all started with a phone call from our neighbours a few years back...  They were retiring from farming and had a small flock of Suffolk ewes and a ram for sale.  As we were their trusty farmsitters, they asked if we would be interested in buying the sheep and becoming shepherds.  After a bit of ruminating, we said "Yes!" and found ourselves the owners of 8 Suffolk ewes and a Suffolk ram.  Now what?  Through trial and error, and our first two lambing seasons (wow! what an eye opener that first year was), we've come to enjoy shepherding and all that this hobby entails.    Our flock has grown to include the original 8 Suffolk ewes, over 40 purebred Shetland ewes, 8 Shetland rams, 1 Bluefaced Leicester ram and 1 Texel ram.

Every Fall, we offer a limited quantity of freezer lamb for sale. Our lambs are raised naturally.  They are grass fed to market weight and are not given hormones or antibiotics.  The resulting meat is a lovely flavourful lean meat, great for roasting or BBQ-ing.   

In addition to our freezer lamb, we also offer a purebred Shetland stock as well as Shetland mules for sale.  We always have a nice selection of rams, ewes, and wethers on hand for you to choose from.  Starter flock packages and multiple sheep discounts are available.  Please visit our Sales page or inquire directly about the stock we have for sale at any given time.

Every Spring, our Shetland fleeces are offered for sale "off the sheep".  Stop by on Shearing Day (May or June of each year) or in the following weeks to purchase your Shetland fleeces at greatly reduced prices.  These fleeces are not processed.  They are only skirted enough to remove the tags.  With our large flock of sheep, we are certain to be able to provide you with the ideal fleece for your project.
