Riverglen Farm

For nearly 10 years, Riverglen and Riverwood Farms have partnered to produce quality Warmblood horses for the Hunter and Dressage disciplines.

Our horses are registered with  recognized Warmblood registries.  At present, the majority of our horses are registered with the German Oldenburg Verband and the Canadian Sport Horse Association.  Occasionally, we will have a Canadian Warmblood or Jockey Club registered horse offered for sale.

Our goal is to produce lovely balanced horses, sound of body and mind, for the Hunter and Dressage ring. Our breeding operation is small. Each year, we breed only one or two approved mares. Our youngsters are handled daily and are introduced early on to the veterinarian and farrier as well as other basics such as leading, grooming, bathing and trailering.

Farm visitors are always welcome.  However, we do ask that an appointment be made with us in order to ensure that we are able to dedicate some time to your visit.  We look forward to introducing you to our wonderful mares and their offspring.

Sales List

We have the following horses offered for sale. This page is updated regularly - photos and detailed descriptions will follow for all listings.  All prices are FIRM unless otherwise noted.  All prices are in Canadian Dollars.

2009 Foals

Armani RF -
Apiro x Popeye K.  Born May 31st.  CSHA registration pending.

On Sunday, May 31st at 12:00am, Alie delivered a strong healthy colt.  Armani is blood bay with three white socks and a star.  We are thrilled with this boy!

Armani RF is our long awaited Apiro (Argentinus x Pilot) foal out of our Popeye K mare, Aleutian K (Popeye K x My King).  Apiro needs no introduction. He is earning accolades in both the Hunter ring and as a breeding stallion. Visit Apiro's page at Silver Creek Sport Horses' website.  Aleutian K is a reg'd and approved First Premium CSHA mare by Popeye K and out of the Holsteiner mare Hy-Dee (My King). Alie was the EOTC Hack Division Champion in 2006. That same year, she began her Dressage career, winning Championships at Training and First Level at local shows.  She repeated the success at National shows in 2007, all with a non-Dressage rider!  In 2008, Alie produced a lovely filly by "Just The Best" who is available for viewing but is not for sale.

CSHA Registration is included in the sale price.

SOLD!  Congratulations to Armani's new owners.  We look forward to seeing him show on the line in 2010.

2008 Yearlings
_
Route 66 – Bay gelding by GOV and CSHA approved stallion Routinier, out of GOV reg’d mare RF Chill Factor. Born June 9, 2008. Eligible for part-bred CSHA registration (not included in price).  This is a really nice young man.  Handsome as can be, he has that "in your pocket" personality and loves attention.  This boy can move!  $4,000

2006 Three Year Olds

Solice -
Grey TB filly out of Goodnight Gracey xx, by Executive Hobby xx. Solice is eligible for registration with the Jockey Club. Solice is a very pretty petite girl. She is a good mover with an exceptional canter. She would make a lovely Dressage or Eventing partner for a smaller rider.  Solice is good with vet and farrier, is an easy loader, and has been off property on several occasions. Groundwork has been started and is progressing well - she has had a rider lie across her and takes everything in stride.  Buy her now and finish her training yourself.  Price will increase as training progresses.  $3,000.

2005 Four Year Olds
Coltrane (reg'd as CSF Rosco) - 2005 blood bay CWHBA gelding with star, one front and two hind socks, currently standing 16.1HH with some growth yet.  Rosco is confirmed in his walk, trot and canter and has started some simple work over fences. He is quiet and uncomplicated to ride.  He is a good mover with a balanced flowing canter and great gallop. He shows good scope and great Hunter form over fences in the jump chute - view his free jumping video here. Rosco will make an excellent Children’s or Amateur Hunter mount.  With his scope and great gallop, he is also an excellent eventing prospect.  $10,000
